Hazards US (HazUS)
The HazUS computer program is a Geographic Information System (GIS)-based modeling tool that forcasts hazard to life and property from earthquakes, floods, and hurricanes. Though Cal EMA GIS is the primary contact for HazUS, TAP has staff proficient in HazUS. TAP works with Cal EMA GIS in developing HazUS training, the use of HazUS in recovery efforts, and promoting the use of HazUS throughout the state.
